Michael Choate

Michael Choate is an attorney with Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson, LLP, where he represents public entities in property tax and local government matters across Texas. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the Texas Tech University School of Law, Michael brings deep experience in public service, community development, and environmental accountability. He serves on the board of Commission Shift Action, advocating for ethics reform and higher environmental standards at the Railroad Commission of Texas.

Originally from San Angelo, Michael is also the co-founder and co-owner of Plateau Brewing Company, a bespoke craft brewery located in historic downtown San Angelo. The brewery reflects his commitment to craft, community, and conservation, serving as both a local gathering place and an advocate for regional sustainability. Michael lives in Austin with his wife, Natalie, and their daughters, Violet and Eleni.
